| A man by the name of Gilland walked down the town sttreets of a poor and corrupted village. He was a elf healer and did not know much in the ways of the people here. He had only been hired shortly after a strange disease spread through. However, his scanning of the town revealed no one on the town streets waiting to be healed. It was almost like a ghost town. He gripped his knife, he did not want to be attacked by anyone much less anything. | |

| Ailís sprinted into the village, she skidded to a halt when she saw Gilland and almost sprinted the other way out of fright, but alas she did fall on her face, luckily the ground was dry. Ailís was a half-angel bard and quite a clumsy one at that; she realized that Gilland was (hopefully) not going to kill her and so she stood up, brushing dust from her light blue robes. "Bloody Crawlers..." she muttered, looking behind her to check that none of the Crawlers were following her. She pushed her hood down, which had flown up when she fell over; she had long, light blonde hair and grey eyes. "Hear about the plague?" she asked Gilland. | |

| Gilland pulled some herbs from his robes and glanced at them as if trying to find the particular one he needed. "It has plagued many villages before this one, but that is all I know." Gilland said, stuffing them back into his robes and unsheathing his knife. "What do you know about it? Ms.? Oh I'm sorry I'm Gilland." | |

| "Ailís. Nice to meet you Gilland." Ailís answered, bowing slightly in respect. She adjusted her collar before answering his question. "All I know is that soon after people get the disease, they suddenly abandon the places they live and travel somewhere, but no one has yet lived long enough to find out where they go." she said, pulling a harmonica from her pocket. She accidentally dropped it and with an exasperated sigh, picked it up again. | |

| "We should try and find survivors then. Would you care to join me?" Gilland asked, pushing the hood from his robes down to reveal his elf-like features. | |

| "It would be an honour." Ailís replied, bowing again. She put her harmonica to her lips and began to play, her cloak started to shimmer and it was soon revealed that she had silver wings, and the cloak was merely an illusion. "Being a half-angel has its perks." she explained, smiling. | |

| "Yes, it seems that way." Gilland replied as he walked the streets of the town.
The noises of doors swaying and windows creeking were the only company that the two had. Gilland kept his eyes on the homes as if someone was going to crawl from them.
"No one..." Gilland sighed in sympathy.

| "How long ago was it that you heard news of the plague in this town?" Ailís asked.
She bent down and examined the muddy road, there were several pairs of footsteps and long grooves, suggesting that some villagers were dragged. She rustled her wings uneasily and looked around.
"I sense a great evil caused this..."

| "A few weeks ago I have just arrived-" Something caugth his eye up above.
Suddenly, Gilland noticed a figure up on one of the rooftops. His hair was brown and spiked up and held in place with a red headband. A cocky smile rose from his face as he noticed the elf. He dove from his spot and landed on the dirt close by.
"We've got company!" Gilland yelled as the man dashed toward him without a moment's hesitation.
Gilland jumped back quick enough to dodge the swing of his enemy's sword as he drew his long, curved knife.

| Ailís launched herself out of the way with her wings as the enemy swung at her. She played a deep, haunting tune on her harmonica; a spear rose from the ground, the surface of the blade seemed to ripple like water and the handle was made of strong oak, with intricate carvings covering it.
The effort to summon this weapon seemed to have exhausted the bard, but nevertheless she picked up the spear and pocketed her harmonica.

| The man seemed taken back by this form of magic and smiled as the spear came forth. His arabian style sword still in hand.
"Nice magic for a weakling." He said, his voice cocky and sly.
Gilland knew he was no match for this man but he had to try. Darting toward him he swung his foot around toward his face. He was shocked as the man blocked the attack with one hand and flipped the healer onto the ground.
"You shouldn't try and help if you're useless anyway, you stupid healer." He laughed.

| "Ah, the biting tongue of the insecure." Ailís said calmly.
Her frame set firmly into a battle stance as she sized up the man with the Arabian sword; but her eyes showed sorrow.
"Why do you come here? Do you wish to help or just merely fight?" she asked as a last attempt at making peace.

| Gilland lay on the ground, helpless to do anything. He was suddenly lifted up by one arm. He gained his footing as the man let go and pointed his weapon at the elf.
"I'm here to give you both a warning from my lord...Don't be looking into this or you'll be dealing with me."

| Ailís bit back a sarcastic comment that had formed instantly after the man had threatened them; she was a bard after all, and that meant no clouding the air with harsh words. The half-angel slowly stood up properly but didn't dismiss of the spear she had summoned. | |
