The Plans

((This is an rp based on the prologue I wrote up.))
It was finally morning, Mattius stretched his arms outward after stepping out of his tent. Strapping a pair of thick sword-like blades on his hands, the pyromancer marched casually around the camp. He looked into a few of his leader's tents to make sure they were sound asleep. Finishing his inspection of the base, Mattius stridded into the forest. He had to scout to make sure no enemy garrisons stationed around. Reaching the peak of a hill, the Red Salamander stared down but spotted nothing out of the ordinary.
"I wondered where the scout has gotten to this time?" He said, scratching the back of his head.

A large, but silent man carefully stepped ovber the broken branches and terrain undetected before putting a dagger to Mattias' neck. "I could have killed you in nine different ways." he said darkly, and let him go. "This is not a good place to leave yourself open..."

Mattius turned around, his cape twisting with his movements. He looked to the large man, he had no idea who he was but he did not seem to be any kind of a threat to him and his men.
"Thank you for the advice, may I ask your name?" He said, not taking his eyes off the man as he bowed.

"My name doesn't matter on the battlefield. I simply am. I come, and I go as I please. Wherever the wind takes me. Wherever there is a battle to be fought, I am there to fight it. The side I fight on does not matter, as long as there is blood to be drawn. You are lucky I am in no mood, for your head would have been gone."

Mattius smiled, he liked this man's attitude and outlook toward battle.
"I see, I would like to have a bit of a practice fight with you, with stakes of course." He included.
This man would make an excellent addititon to my squadron.

"A practise fight..." he said, a small grin breaking the stern look he had a mere moment ago. "Let me guess... I win, i go away, and if you do, i have to join your little group? I was thinking of doing that anyway, but not permanantly. I need something to do. Sure, lets fight."

"Very good, I will make sure this will be quick." Mattius said, raising his blades and immediately rushing the man.
He began with a series of slashes, his eyes wide and focused on his opponent. He knew this would draw some attention as a few of his squadron appeared from areas around the woods. They all seemed entranced by this battle and it was only just beginning.

Eyes half shut, the man swung his massive blade single handedly, parrying the strikes. He looked bored. One cut his shirt at the shoulder, and he became alert. He parried more strikes and swung with enough force to knock Mattius backwards, even if he did block.
