The Red Salamander (This is a Prologue, do not rp. Comment).

Clouds of the night filled the sky, only the sound of nearby fires and talking amongst others could be heard in this dense base camp. Sleep was not necessary for most of the army of the Salamander since they had been trained to keep awake in case of sudden attack. Most however, had become tired from their recent raid and decided to rest for the evening.
A few guards were stationed on each entrance to the camp from the forest. This was for security measures only and nothing else. The laughter and chatter escelated in one part of the camp.
About ten men sat around a large fire talking about their skills in battle or whatever came to their minds. One of them was a man with long red hair dressed in red armor with a red cape. He laughed at the jokes the men made to him.
"Oh common Mattius, you know without you the Salamander Squadron would be nothing!" One of them said, chuckling a bit afterwards.
"Ya, take some credit, your pyromancing skills saved us back there." One of the men said, elbowing the red-haired man.
Mattius stood up, he knew he deserved this praise but not as much as he had previosuly expected.
"It was all of you, not just myself who aided in this victory." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.
He could still remember the time when he along with five men and two women founded the Salamander, at that time they were nothing more than a small mercenary group. Now it was a squadron of over three-hundred which was still quite small, although these three-hundred could easily take down a army of five-hundred with only limited casualties.
Mattius had only been about sixteen and an inexperienced pyromancer when he formed the Salamander but now in his twenties he had suceeded in taking over four villages to the West and East.
He had gained his title as "The Red Salamander" when he was only twenty when he, accompanied with a few troops, evaded and crushed a large group of at least one-hundred skilled mercenaries.
His dream of becoming the greatest force in all of West Ridge was becoming a reality...

Reminds me of Berserk.
