Orin

Orin is an adolescent male around seventeen years of age who, despite his seemingly loud and talkative personality, is in reality quite dark. He practises both sides of magic, meaning dark and light, or holy and unholy, and he has reasonable talent with most single handed weapons. His preference is a scimitar, although he is sometimes seen with a scepter encrusted in strange jewels. When asked where the scepter came from, he usually replies in a dark tone that the inquisitor does not even want to know. He is not shy, nor does he get queasy at the sight of blood. He reserves his talents for what he believes is good. His ideals are somewhat unconventional when taken into consideration by most others, but many have become the followers of his idealism. He often wears dark colours, which blend in with his pure black eyes, which contain no whites or pupils, leading some to believe he is blind. He may be blind physically, but his gift enables him to see, through magic, what most people cannot even see with their eyes. Reading books using his gift is no trouble to him, which is proven by the fact that he has read one-of-a-kind books about the power of a wizard such as himself. No one quite like him even exists anymore. It has been told that when one stares into the murky, souless eyes of such a man, he has access to their souls, and the choice of whether or not he will take them. He is not evil in any sense, but many people would argue that because practise of the "dark" side of the gift is considered evil at best. One of his many words of wisdom is that it is not the type of magic that is evil, it is how it's used. It is whether or not the person who uses it has a heart of evil that determines whether or not the magic in and of itself is evil. He has organized a small uprising against an evil emperor, who has already managed to take hold of the globe in its entirety... Will Orin manage to take the world back from it's merciless leader? He himself is not even sure, because powerful allies are hard to come by in a world enshrouded by evil...
