Ragtime

Ragtime is one of the best kinds of music there is. You can talk about it here.

Scott Joplin is the master of Ragtime. I'm trying to learn "Pineapple Rag" on the piano, which is by him, and he also wrote a whole bunch of other awesome Ragtimes like "Maple Leaf Rag", "The Entertainer", "Gladiolus Rag", "Wall Street Rag" and much much more.

And you can't forget that Sasquatch loves Ragtime!

P.S. I will be very pissed if no one posts anything in the Ragtime thread.

I don't mind Ragtime. It sounds alright and it's really good to make serious things seem funny. If you put ragtime in the background of a car accident for example, it would turn a terrible situation a little comedic.

Ok I dont know much on this one other then I love "The Entertainer" simple as that...

I'm going through a Scott Joplin book right now; hot dang, Maple Leaf is fun. I'm currently learning The Cascades, which is also fun- aw heck, all ragtime is fun. It's just the way it sounds.
